Shavon Key, an 18-year-old from Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost her life on December 21, 2022. The incident occurred at an apartment complex off N. Denver Avenue, just south of 152 Highway. Kansas City police officers responded to a shooting just after 3 p.m. and found Shavon Key suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the torso. She was immediately taken to Liberty Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
