Naomi Huffman Pruitt's death on July 16, 1896, in Indianapolis, Indiana, was a tragic event that shocked the local community. Naomi was married to Pleasant Pruitt, a man who had already experienced the mysterious death of his first wife. Naomi's death was initially reported as an accident.
