Officer Matt John Faber, aged 24, tragically lost his life on August 23, 1988, after succumbing to gunshot wounds sustained nine days earlier. On August 14, 1988, Officer Faber responded to a neighborhood animal complaint in the 2900 block of Arthington Boulevard, Indianapolis.
