Death by Force

On October 3, 2022, Darren Gibson, a 36-year-old resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, was found dead in a wooded area on the near-east side of the city. The discovery was made by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) during a welfare check near the intersection of Holloway and Langley avenues, just before noon. Initially classified as a death investigation, the case was later ruled a homicide by the IMPD after it was determined that Gibson had sustained gunshot wounds.
