On the morning of March 17, 1993, the body of Kelly Diego Malczynski was discovered outside an apartment building at 925 S. Ironwood Drive in South Bend, Indiana. He had been shot once in the head, and witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot the night before around 11 p.m. Kelly did not live in the area, and it remains unclear why he was there.
