On a summer evening in South Bend, Indiana, the life of 55-year-old Michael Gillam was tragically cut short. On Saturday, July 5, 2014, near the intersection of Olive and Linden streets, Gillam was shot. South Bend Police responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m. and found him unresponsive. Despite their efforts, Michael Gillam, a male resident of South Bend, was pronounced dead at the scene.
