In the summer of 2011, a life was tragically cut short in Indianapolis. Shawn Paul Terry, a 16-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on July 29, 2011. The incident that led to his untimely death unfolded at an apartment situated on North Shortridge Road. Those who knew him remembered a young man with a charismatic and loving personality, capable of making a whole room smile. He was an active member of the Olivet Missionary Baptist Church and a student at Warren Central High School.
