In the winter of 2014, the life of 18-year-old Tyrece Harris was cut short in Gary, Indiana. On February 10th of that year, Harris, a young Black man, was discovered deceased, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The local authorities promptly ruled his death a homicide, initiating an extensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
