In the spring of 2014, a dispute over a child in South Bend, Indiana, escalated to a fatal conclusion, leaving a young father dead and a community searching for answers. Tyrone Kelly, a 21-year-old Black male, was shot and killed on the evening of March 26, 2014. The incident, which also resulted in injuries to two other men, David Cross and Jerry Wright, unfolded in the 1800 block of Johnson Street.
