In the spring of 2014, the life of 19-year-old Romello D'Arcy Carney was cut short in a wave of violence that swept through Indianapolis. An African-American male, Carney was fatally shot on April 4, 2014, his death marking another tragic entry in the city's growing list of homicides. He was not alone in his final moments; alongside him in a red Chevrolet Lumina was another young man, Terry Hunter, who also perished in the gunfire.
