On December 22, 2014, at approximately 5:50 p.m., 21-year-old Darius Courtland Rose was shot in the 700 block of Roache Street on Indianapolis's near-north side. He was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following the incident, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested a 17-year-old male suspect in connection with the fatal shooting. The suspect was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
