In the winter of 2015, a sense of loss befell a neighborhood in Gary, Indiana, with the violent death of a beloved community member. On the evening of Saturday, January 24th, 63-year-old Edwin Deloney Sr., known affectionately as 'Booster,' was found dead in his home on the 1500 block of Tennessee Street. The discovery was made at approximately 7:50 p.m. by authorities who were responding to a call of shots fired in the area.
