On the night of July 30, 2015, violence erupted in the 2100 block of Polk Street in Gary, Indiana, claiming the life of 24-year-old Terrence L. Sallee II. Residents in the area reported hearing multiple gunshots around 11:00 p.m., prompting a response from the Gary Police Department and the Lake County/Gary Metro Homicide Unit.
