In the early evening of January 5, 2016, the city of Fort Wayne recorded its first homicide of the year with the death of 26-year-old Deandrew Jamarcus Moore. A male, Moore was discovered fatally shot inside a vehicle in the 6000 block of Bunt Drive, near the Paulding Road Family Dollar. The engine of the car was still running when police arrived at the scene, parked in front of an apartment building.
