Eric Imani Jordan was a 19-year-old Black male from Indianapolis, Indiana, whose last afternoon unfolded in the open air of an apartment complex parking lot on the city’s far east side. On January 30, 2017, police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Bavarian East Drive at about 3:30 p.m. after a report of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found Jordan down in the lot, wounded by at least one gunshot. He was rushed to Eskenazi Hospital, but he did not survive.
