In the winter of 2017, the life of 39-year-old Jeffrey D. Brown of Muncie, Indiana, was cut short in a brutal act of violence. On the morning of February 14, his body was discovered near the intersection of Inlow Springs Road and Burlington Drive after police received a call about shots fired in the area around 3 a.m. Brown had been shot multiple times, and investigators recovered 14 shell casings at the scene.
