On July 22, 2016, 23-year-old Takara Coleman was one of three victims found shot to death in an Indianapolis apartment on the northeast side. Officers responded to a welfare check at the apartment on Admar Court around 7:18 a.m., where they discovered the bodies of Coleman, 52-year-old Lisa Woods, and 25-year-old Cameron Baker. Two of the victims, Coleman and Woods, were found together on a couch, while Baker was found in a bedroom.
