On a Sunday evening in Indianapolis, Indiana, 18-year-old Deante Williams met a tragic and untimely end. On September 17, 2017, Williams drove with his girlfriend to Wes Montgomery Park on the city's east side for a prearranged meeting with a high school acquaintance, Eugene Jones. The friendly encounter took a dark turn when Jones entered the backseat of Williams' vehicle, produced a gun, and held it to Williams' head.
