In the autumn of 2017, a young man's life was tragically cut short in Hammond, Indiana, during a violent encounter that stemmed from a social media post. On the afternoon of October 31, 19-year-old Khalil Carter, a male resident of Hammond, was fatally shot in an apartment on Pointe Drive.
