Sidea Lashae Griffin, an 18-year-old high school senior from Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, tragically lost her life on January 14, 2017. The incident occurred when she walked into a Virginia Beach hospital with a gunshot wound just before 10 p.m. and succumbed to her injuries shortly after. Griffin was in a car with her boyfriend when she was shot. The investigation into her death was immediately launched by the Virginia Beach Police Department.
