In the heart of Fort Wayne, Indiana, a young man's life was tragically cut short on Thanksgiving Day in 2017. Jacob Ryan Walerko, a 25-year-old male, was working at the Meijer gas station on Lima Road on the evening of November 23rd. It was on this holiday that his aspirations and future were stolen in a senseless act of violence. While on duty, a man entered the gas station and fatally shot Jacob in the head.
