On December 4, 2017, authorities in Gary, Indiana, initiated a homicide investigation following the discovery of a deceased male in his residence. The victim, identified as 68-year-old Ronald Richardson, was found shot to death inside his home. Law enforcement officers were dispatched to the scene where they located his body and determined that he had sustained fatal gunshot wounds, leading the Lake County Coroner’s Office to rule the death a homicide.
