Christopher Lee Gonzalez, a 24-year-old Hispanic male from Gary, Indiana, lost his life late in the evening on October 15, 2023, following a violent confrontation in an empty lot near the 2800 block of King Street. The events leading to his death reportedly began with a dispute over personal property, as a woman accompanying Gonzalez accused a group of individuals of stealing her belongings.
