In the spring of 2018, the life of 22-year-old Adrien Evans was cut tragically short on the near north side of Indianapolis. On the evening of May 7th, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 3100 block of North Park Avenue around 9:21 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Evans suffering from gunshot wounds.
The Marion County coroner's office would later confirm his identity and determine that the gunshots were the cause of his death.
The violent nature of Evans's death at such a young age sent ripples through the community.
