On October 14, 2024, Fletcher Butler, a 32-year-old Black male from Indianapolis, Indiana, was found shot to death in the driver's seat of his car in the 8200 block of Roy Road, near East 30th Street and North Franklin Road. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Neighbors reported hearing an argument followed by gunshots shortly before police arrived.
