On October 14, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred on the east side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Fletcher Butler. The incident was reported around 12:24 a.m. in the 8200 block of Roy Road, near East 30th Street and North Franklin Road. Responding officers found Fletcher Butler sitting in the driver's seat of a car in the roadway, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
