In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in May 2018, the life of Sherriff Jallow, a 50-year-old man, was tragically cut short in a violent act that has yet to see a resolution. Jallow was working as a clerk at the Shell gas station located at the intersection of 34th Street and Sherman Drive in Indianapolis when he was shot and killed on May 29, 2018. A former police officer from Gambia, he had made a new life in the United States two decades prior, seeking peace and opportunity.
