On a summer evening in Indianapolis, what began as a simple errand at a west side gas station turned into a scene of violence that claimed the life of 38-year-old Ronnie L. Campbell Jr. The incident, which occurred on June 18, 2018, stemmed from a dispute that tragically and rapidly escalated.
Campbell, a male who was known to family and friends as 'Lil Ronnie,' had entered the gas station's convenience store where an argument ignited with another man over the purchase of a cigar.
The verbal altercation spilled out into the parking lot, drawing in at least one other individual. It was in the midst of this heated confrontation that a firearm was introduced, and Campbell was fatally shot.
