On a Saturday evening in June 2024, Dontae Marcel Clark, a 44-year-old male, was killed in a shooting in downtown Indianapolis. The incident occurred on East Washington Street, where officers were dispatched following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered Clark suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
