On June 22, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in downtown Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 44-year-old Dontae Marcel Clark. The incident took place just before 11 p.m. at the intersection of East Washington Street and South Alabama Street, near the Julia Carson Transit Center.
