On the morning of September 14, 2016, a violent discovery shook a neighborhood on the Far East Side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Tiara Roberson, a 22-year-old African-American woman, was found deceased inside a vehicle parked along Delmont Drive, near the intersection with 42nd Street and Mitthoeffer Road. The scene was marked by clear signs of violence, as the car she was discovered in had sustained numerous bullet holes along its side, indicating a targeted shooting had taken place.
