Svitlana Novotney, a 19-year-old woman from Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically found dead on January 9, 2019. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 4:20 a.m., when officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a report of a person shot in the 7400 block of Merganser Drive, located in the Woodlake Apartments complex on the city's north side.
