In the early morning hours of April 14, 2022, the life of 33-year-old Amber J. Rogers was tragically cut short in a burst of violence on the northwest side of Indianapolis. A partial 911 call alerted authorities to a person shot near the intersection of 82nd Street and Lafayette Road. Responding officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department discovered Rogers on the ground outside a home, suffering from critical gunshot wounds.
