On November 16, 2023, a tragic incident occurred on the east side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 14-year-old Kaleiah Veloise-Mae Dean. The incident took place in the 3100 block of North Emerson Avenue, near the intersection of East 32nd Street and North Emerson Avenue.
