David Lamar Phillips II, a 36-year-old resident of Anderson, Indiana, was found dead on August 6, 2018. His body was discovered at the Rangeline Nature Preserve in Anderson, just west of Mounds State Park. The Madison County Coroner, Marian Dunnichay, confirmed that Phillips died from two gunshots to the head. His body was in a state of advanced decomposition when found, indicating that he had been deceased for some time before the discovery.
