Jayla Miller, a 2-year-old girl from Gary, Indiana, tragically passed away on September 4, 2018. The young child was found with a gunshot wound to the head inside a home located near West 17th Avenue and Polk Street in Gary. Despite being rushed to Methodist Hospital Northlake in Gary and later transferred to Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago, Jayla succumbed to her injuries.
