On the night of September 9, 2018, police officers in South Bend, Indiana, responded to a report of a shooting in the 2100 block of Bertrand Street. The incident occurred late that Sunday evening, shortly before 11:00 p.m., in a residential neighborhood situated approximately five blocks east of Kennedy Park.
