On a Wednesday morning in September 2018, the life of 20-year-old Isaiah Pina of Hammond, Indiana, was tragically cut short in East Chicago. His body was discovered near a fence in the 4000 block of Pulaski Street, where he was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Lake County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead at the scene at 8:45 a.m. and subsequently ruled his death a homicide.
