On July 4, 2024, a fatal shooting incident occurred in East Chicago, Indiana, resulting in the death of 35-year-old Jerome Scott from Gary, Indiana. The incident took place at approximately 10:30 p.m. at 3600 Superior Court. Officers responding to the call found Scott near the entrance of the location, suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.
