Kentrail L. Nelson Jr., a 20-year-old man from Ford Heights, Illinois, was fatally shot in East Chicago, Indiana, on the night of December 26, 2015. The incident occurred near 150th Street and Melville Avenue, where Nelson was attending a party. According to reports, Nelson was dancing with a woman when he was pushed by another man who became verbally hostile. Witnesses described the suspect as a tall man with dreadlocks.
