Kelley R. Holmes, a 26-year-old resident of East Chicago and Hammond, Indiana, passed away on January 8, 2023. The incident occurred at a BP gas station located at 4502 Indianapolis Boulevard in East Chicago. On the evening of January 8, 2023, at approximately 6:22 p.m., East Chicago police responded to a report of a shooting at the gas station.
