Ryan Lamar Jordan, a 30-year-old male from Indianapolis, Indiana, was found deceased on February 20, 2019. His body was discovered on the 38th Street overpass above Interstate 465, the result of a fatal gunshot wound. At the time of his death, Jordan was known to frequent the Town & Terrace community near 42nd Street and Post Road, an area his family considered his safe place.
He was known for his love of dancing, drawing, and entertaining others, and was affectionately called 'Pacman' by his peers.
Family members indicated that Jordan did not own a car and preferred to walk, leading them to believe he must have willingly entered a vehicle with someone he knew and trusted on the day of his death. He had a passion for being around his family and was a dedicated father to his four children. In the years leading up to his death, Jordan had actively participated in community programs aimed at reducing violence and supporting fathers.
The investigation into Ryan Jordan's death remains ongoing, and as of late 2025, no arrests have been made, nor have any suspects been publicly identified. Law enforcement officials have expressed their belief that someone has knowledge about the circumstances that led to his death and continue to encourage the public to come forward with any information that may lead to a breakthrough in the case.
