On a tragic night in Indianapolis, Indiana, the life of 42-year-old Charles Albert Reeves II was violently cut short. On May 11, 2019, Reeves, a male, was outside the Club Venus located on the city's west side when gunfire erupted. Security cameras captured the harrowing moments as Reeves was walking and looking at his phone when bullets began striking the pavement around him, causing him to fall to the ground.
He, along with another man, William Walker, were both struck by multiple gunshots in the deadly incident.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly led authorities to a suspect. Through tips from the public and evidence gathered from the scene, including security footage, police identified Terrance Warren as the shooter. The manager of Club Venus was able to identify Warren from photographs shown by detectives. In a significant break in the case, Warren later identified himself in a still image taken from the security video that captured the shooting.
Following his arrest, Terrance Warren faced legal proceedings for the deaths of Charles Reeves and William Walker. In November 2021, a Marion County jury found him guilty on two counts of murder and an additional charge of carrying a handgun without a license. For his role in the fatal shootings, Warren was sentenced to a total of 110 years in prison, bringing a measure of justice to the families of the two victims whose lives were tragically ended that night.
