In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Indianapolis, a young life was tragically cut short. Twenty-five-year-old Kason Dixon, a Black male, was fatally wounded in a shooting on January 13, 2024. The incident is believed to have taken place near the intersection of East 21st Street and North Shadeland Avenue, an area with various businesses.
Following the shooting, Dixon was transported to Community Hospital East.
Medical staff worked to save him, but his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Marion County Coroner's Office later officially confirmed his identity.
