A gathering of people at a home in Indianapolis on the night of August 23, 2024, turned tragic, ending the life of 48-year-old Edward Franklin Gray Jr. The male victim was fatally shot at a residence located on East 34th Street, in the vicinity of Ralston Avenue. When officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene just before 11:00 p.m., they were met with a large and chaotic crowd that they had to push through to get to Mr. Gray.
