In the early morning hours of May 19, 2022, the life of 23-year-old Ezra Porter was tragically cut short in Indianapolis, Indiana. Porter, a Black male known affectionately as 'E.J.,' was discovered with a gunshot wound on a sidewalk near a parked car on Illinois Street, just north of West 36th Street, in the vicinity of Crown Hill Cemetery.
