On a summer evening in Indianapolis, Indiana, the life of 39-year-old Albert J. Germany Jr. was tragically cut short. On June 12, 2019, police were called to the 3300 block of North Sherman Drive just before 5:45 p.m. regarding a woman who had been shot. Information from the injured woman, who was taken to a local hospital, led officers to a grim discovery in the 2900 block of North Dearborn Street. There, they found Albert Germany deceased at the scene.
The Marion County Coroner's Office was called to determine the official cause of his death.
The investigation into Germany's death swiftly pointed to a suspect. Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department identified 28-year-old Dallas M. Jones as the individual allegedly responsible for the killing. Through evidence gathered and statements from witnesses, investigators connected Jones to the fatal shooting of Germany.
Following the investigation, Dallas M. Jones was arrested and faced serious charges for his alleged role in the incident. The Marion County Prosecutor's Office charged him with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
