In the winter of 2020, the city of Gary, Indiana, was struck by a wave of violence that claimed the life of 61-year-old Raymond McDuffie. On the evening of Wednesday, January 15, 2020, McDuffie was found with a fatal gunshot wound. The incident occurred around 7:40 p.m. in the 200 block of Hanley Street, a residential neighborhood.
