In a tragic incident on March 30, 2020, 32-year-old Jose Alberto Martinez-Blanco, a Hispanic male, was found deceased with gunshot wounds in a residence on the 5700 block of Manning Road in Indianapolis. When officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene just before noon, they discovered another individual, 42-year-old Victor Alfaro, also suffering from a gunshot wound.
Alfaro was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Investigators believe that Alfaro, who was described as a longtime friend of Martinez-Blanco, was the perpetrator. It is thought that Alfaro shot Martinez-Blanco before turning the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide attempt.
The police have indicated that they are not searching for any other suspects in connection with the shooting. The case is considered to be exceptionally cleared by the authorities.
