On a Saturday afternoon in East Chicago, Indiana, the life of 22-year-old Deshaun Wiley, a Black/African American male, was cut short by gunfire. The date was September 12, 2020, when police were called to an apartment on Hemlock Street around 1:28 p.m. Inside, they discovered Deshaun unresponsive.
