On September 12, 2020, Deshaun Wiley, a 22-year-old resident of East Chicago, Indiana, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The East Chicago Police Department responded to a call at approximately 1:28 PM regarding a shooting at 3527 Hemlock Street, Apartment #3. Upon arrival, officers found Wiley unresponsive inside the apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Lake County Coroner’s Office.
