In the late summer of 2020, the life of 24-year-old Vorn Taylor Jr., a Black male from Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically cut short. On September 14th, he was found shot and subsequently driven to the intersection of 42nd Street and Post Road. Authorities believe the fatal shooting occurred on Hampshire Court within the troubled Towne and Terrace housing complex.
Taylor's death marked the fifth homicide in less than three months at this particular housing complex, a place that had
become synonymous with violence. The community was already mourning the recent deaths of four other individuals in the same area.
