On a Sunday evening in Indianapolis, a burst of violence cut short the life of 17-year-old Tywon Jones. The male teenager was fatally shot on March 30, 2025, in an incident on the city's northeast side that also left another juvenile in critical condition. The events unfolded around 7:10 p.m. in the 10000 block of East 42nd Street, near North Mitthoefer Road.
