Death by Force

On the evening of March 30, 2025, 17-year-old Tywon Jones was fatally shot in a violent incident on the northeast side of Indianapolis. The shooting occurred in the parking lot of a gas station at East 42nd Street and North Mitthoefer Road. Jones, a Black male teenager, attempted to flee the scene after being shot but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. Another 17-year-old male was also shot and critically wounded in the same incident.
